Description: GM-1 is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Glimepiride is used to reduce high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. It’s used in combination with a healthy diet and exercise. Metformin is used to control high blood sugar. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems.
Dosage: drug may be used alone or with other high blood sugar (diabetes) drugs. Take as you have been told, even if you are feeling better. Take with the first meal of the day. Follow the diet and workout plan that your doctor told you about or as per physician’s prescription.
What is Glimepiride in GM-1 for?

Common side effects are low blood sugar: Signs include anger, shaking, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or sweating. Keep hard candies, glucose tablets, liquid glucose, or juice on hand for low blood sugar. Upset stomach or throwing up.

How should Metformin in GM-1 be used?
Metformin must be taken regularly for it to work well. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by your doctor. Metformin must be taken with food. If you are taking an extended-release type of Metformin, swallow the tablet whole with food. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

What do I do if I miss a dose?
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.
Are there any food restrictions
Category C: Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
